Returning to Tana involved travelling the same road in reverse and stopping at places along the way to break the journey.
In Tana, I stayed at a middle range hotel to get a feel of a different part of town. Here a different group of locals and expatriates came to enjoy the restaurant’s French cuisine.
I was sad to leave the island after my three week adventure into the southern region. I had only started to discover the vast differences of terrain and culture that exist across its land. I have yet to explore the northern part and specifically the north eastern coastal area known for its pirate history and long faded prosperity.
