Visiting the Neema Craft workshop was a highlight of this section of the trip. Supported by the adjacent Anglican church, the vocational training centre provided employment and ongoing training for staff all who were either deaf or physically disabled.

One of the staff members gave me a tour through the workshops and showed what is possible when intentional adjustments are made to enable any adult to add value to a community. Signing was the means of communication to enable connection, training and collaboration. The quality and design of the products was beautiful. I loved the energy and atmosphere here.
