I have taken the rare opportunity to join a German resident of the Cameroon, Betina, on her return to her village. She is going to a funeral and has invited me and two other German tourists, Freidman and Jutta to join her.

We have made a trip out of the venture into the countryside in order to include visits to some of the key sites in the Baham area.

We were up at 03:00 in order to get on the road and get to the funeral on time. Driving through the countryside up through the mountains was magnificent.

The funeral was a very special experience. The deceased was a pretty wealthy man so his life celebration was full of feasting and dancing including a visitation by the secret society of men dressed in masquerades.
