Driving around the mountain area from Xining

Spent today driving around the mountain area from Xining to get immersed in Tibetan culture. The driver knew some really remote and beautiful monastries some being painstakingly refurbished by hand. These places were magical - absolutely deserted apart from the craftsmen and the monks.
